UTHO Shakthi Parivar Shibir

The UTHO Parivar Shibir 2023, themed "Shakthi," attracted over 425 participants. Distinguished speakers, including RamJi Vaidya, ChandrakanthJi Sharma, and Dr. RaveendraJi Surange, set the tone with insightful talks on the significance of "U."
 

The event featured engaging Boudhik sessions, recreational games, and workshops focusing on Sewa projects in Bharath and UTHO's ongoing events. It served as an inspiring gathering, uniting participants and motivating them to actively contribute to the community and society.

UTHO Yuva Career Connect

"UTHO Yuva Career Connect" is a program or platform aimed at connecting young individuals (Yuva) with career-related opportunities and resources.

Career Guidance: Providing guidance and counseling services to young people regarding career choices, educational paths, and professional growth.

Networking Opportunities: Creating a platform for networking where young individuals can connect with mentors, professionals, or peers within their chosen fields and Sharing Experiences of choosing subjects and Universities.

 

Career Events: Organizing events, seminars, or conferences focused on career exploration, industry trends, and opportunities for career growth.

UTHO UK-Parliament Week

UTHO (UK Telugu Hindu Organisation) hosted a UK Parliament Week (UKPW) event on 25th November, 2023, focusing on educating young Hindu children and young adults about the workings of Parliament and how they can make a difference in issues close to them.
 

The event showcased diverse perspectives and knowledge among the children, highlighting their commitment to dialogue and understanding. Their collective efforts during UKPW will positively impact our community and beyond.
 

The session taught kids about democracy's nuances and their role in electing representatives or becoming one. A debate on 'Should AI be regulated?' was held, where children showcased impressive points. MP Elliot Colburn attended, engaging in a Q&A session with the participants

UTHO UK-Parliament Week

Team UTHO joined the Sewa UK Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on May 28th, 2023, raising funds with 71 enthusiastic members. Among them were kids as young as 5 or 6 and resilient individuals in their 70s, conquering 1 or 2 peaks. Notably, high school students achieved the 3 Peaks Challenge on their first try, a remarkable feat.
 

This year's event set a record with around 800 participants, making it a memorable gathering for over 20 UTHO families. It was a joyous opportunity for families to unite, share experiences, and embrace the thrilling journey together.
 

Nearly 71 UTHO members took part and raised £1k+

  •  38 UTHO participants completed 1peak

  •  15 UTHO participants completed 2peaks

  •  18 UTHO participants completed 3Peaks

This annual event celebrates unity, cultural richness, and inspires active participation within the UTHO family, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.

Seventy-one participants took part in the

UTHO Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge with SewaUK, in this 18 individuals successfully completing all three peaks on their first attempt, notably including several high school students. Their impressive achievements reflect determination, resilience, and a commitment to conquering challenges for a noble cause.

"UKPW Activity of the year 2021" Recognises the work of those who made an outstanding contribution to UK Parliament Week.
 

UK Telugu Hindu Organisation (UTHO) is an organisation for the Telugu community in the UK. 2020 was the first time they engaged with UK Parliament Week (UKPW). UTHO planned two weeks of activities and projects for all age groups, where participants learnt about the UK Parliament. They engaged with local councillors and MPs in virtual events to understand the differences between those roles. They organised online debates and voted on the issue afterwards. Through their UKPW activities, the Telugu community have learnt more about democratic processes and people power in the UK, they are now planning to write a petition to introduce Telugu as a GCSE language in the UK.
